Craig Ferguson is coming to the Belle Mehus Auditorium

Craig Ferguson Headshot - JPEG.jpg

Call him what you please – comedian, actor, director, author, or philanthropist – Craig Ferguson is a jack-of-all-trades. With a diverse career encompassing film, television and the stage, Ferguson’s talents brand him as one of the most successful entertainers of the generation.

Ferguson’s knack for comedy has allowed him to be part of numerous highly appraised shows including CBS’s “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” BBC’s “The Ferguson Theory,” and ABC’s “The Drew Carey Show.”

The Glasgow, Scotland native has performed to sold-out theaters all over the country such as Carnegie Hall and New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. Additionally, Ferguson has three widely acclaimed stand-up comedy specials, “A Wee Bit O’ Revolution,” Does This Need To Be Said,” and “I’m Here to Help.” These humorous and witty stand-ups garnered him specials on Comedy Central as well as a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album.

In 2003, he made his directorial debut with “I'll Be There,” which he also wrote and starred in. “I'll Be There” went on to receive the Audience Award for Best Film at the Aspen, Dallas, and Valencia film festivals. Ferguson was also named "best new director" at the Napa Valley Film Festival. His other film credits include, “The Big Tease,” “Saving Grace,” “Niagra Motel,” “Lenny the Wonder Dog,” “Prendimi l’anima,” “Life Without Dick,” “Chain of Fools” and “Born Romantic.”

Ferguson’s directorial skills are just one of the many talents audiences will find on the big screen. His voice can be heard in a variety of animated feature films such as “How to Train Your Dragon” as the Viking ‘Gobber,’ as ‘Owl’ in the Disney classic “Winnie the Pooh,” and as ‘Lord Macintosh’ in Disney’s “Brave.”

In 2006, Ferguson released his first novel entitled Between the Bridge and The River, which made it onto the best seller list and won his first Emmy nomination for his unprecedented success on “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.” In 2009 he also received the Peabody Award for Excellence in Broadcasting for his interview with Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Ferguson became the topic of conversation within the media and a growing trend of success in 2010. After becoming a US Citizen in 2008 he landed himself the biggest date of all; a date with President Bush hosting the White House Correspondence Dinner. Critics raved of his witty and comical deliverance speech to the 3,000 attendees who included political journalists, celebrities, and Washington’s power players.

Ferguson also serves on the board of the Lollipop Theater Network. The mission of the Lollipop Theater Network is to bring movies that are currently in theatrical release to hospitalized children facing chronic and life threatening illness nationwide.

On September 22nd, 2014, the new syndicated game show “Celebrity Name Game” debuted with Ferguson as host, from executive producers Courteney Cox and David Arquette. “Celebrity Name Game” puts celebrities on the spot as they compete to identify famous names based on improvised clues.

On September 10, 2015, Ferguson will be seen in his original stand-up comedy special debuting on EPIX entitled, “Craig Ferguson: Just Being Honest.” The special was filmed at New York City’s Town Hall and focuses on topics spanning from “the deeply meaningless to the profoundly meaningful.”

Hollywood Undead with I Prevail and Crown the Empire are coming to the Bismarck Event Center

The Noise Presents: Hollywood Undead with I Prevail and Crown the Empire are coming to the Bismarck Event Center on Sept. 28. Doors at 6 pm, Show at 7 pm. Tickets on-sale now! General admission, $26 in advance; $28 day-of-show. Additional fees may apply. Traditionally, the Day of the Dead holiday is all about remembrance.

Now, Hollywood Undead's fourth full-length album, and first for Interscope Records,“Day of the Dead” sees the genre-hopping six-piece reflect in a different way. The
group—Johnny 3 Tears, J-Dog, Charlie Scene, Danny, Funny Man and Da Kurlzz—collectively channels the kinetic aggression and wild humor that captivated millions on
their platinum-certified 2008 debut “Swan Songs,” yet they couple it with a wiseasswisdom and sharp songwriting honed over the course of nearly a decade on the road.

It's been quite the ride too.

Their most recent offering “Notes From the Underground” seized the #2 spot on the
Billboard Top 200 upon its 2013 debut, while its predecessor 2011's “AmericanTragedy,” another top 5 entry, quickly approaches gold status. The boys have sold out
countless headline shows worldwide and toured with everybody from AvengedSevenfold to Stone Sour, while appearing at global festivals including Download, Rock
on the Range, Rock In Rio, Family Values and more.

Shocked to life like a musical Frankenstein, “Day of the Dead” veers between anindustrial metal stomp, a hilarious hip-hop bounce, a booze-fueled all-night dance party
and pensive street poetry etched inside bloody verses.

"Day of the Dead" rises from a delicate acoustic flamenco guitar into a needling riffencased in a synth howl. Johnny 3 Tears delivers poignant bars before one of the
band's biggest hooks to date. Shortly after it dropped, the song amassed over 1.5million YouTube/VEVO views, fueling fervor from the Undead masses.

"We put everything into this," declares Johnny 3 Tears. "Of course, there's that element
of having a great time. Still, there are real words and messages in here. It's our lives ontape againRead on...

Def Leppard with STYX and Tesla coming to the Bismarck Event Center

Def Leppard Press Photo.jpg

With more than 65 million albums sold worldwide and two prestigious Diamond Awards to their credit, Def Leppard--Joe Elliott (vocals), Phil Collen (guitar), Rick "Sav" Savage (bass), Vivian Campbell (guitar) and Rick Allen (drums)- continue to be one of the most important forces in rock music. Over the course of their career, the band has produced a series of classic groundbreaking albums that set the bar for generations of music fans and artists alike. The group's spectacular live shows, filled with powerful melodic rock anthems, continue to sell out venues worldwide. Their epic live show and arsenal of hits have become synonymous with their name, leading Def Leppard to be heralded as an institution in both the music and touring industry.

It has been thirty-three years since the release of Def Leppard's debut, ON THROUGH THE NIGHT, the album that first caught every one's attention, including super Producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange. Convinced that this band had "a gift," he agreed to come on board for their second album, the influential HIGH N' DRY, beginning a creative relationship that would completely change the sonic architecture of rock production. The single "Bringing On The Heartbreak" became their first hit, and a precursor for the kind of steely craftsmanship that would later mark the epic releases PYROMANIA, released in 1983, (named one of the "500 Greatest Albums" by Rolling Stone magazine) and HYSTERIA (1987), both produced by Lange. Due to the electrifying advent of "Photograph", the former sold 100,000 copies a week for a better part of a year, the latter spawned 7 hit singles including their mega-smash hits "Pour Some Sugar On Me" & "Love Bites". By the end of the 80's, Def Leppard had sold more records in America than any other rock band which secured their legacy as one of the most in-demand touring bands in rock n' roll history.

In 1984, Rick Allen lost his left arm in a tragic car accident. His continued perseverance and dedication to remain in Def Leppard has influenced millions of people making him a drumming icon. In 1991, another tragedy struck when the band lost influential guitarist Steve Clark. Again, the band marched on by enlisting Vivian Campbell (Dio, Whitesnake) to join them in the promotion of 1992's multi-platinum release ADRENALIZE. RETRO ACTIVE, a b-side collection, came next in 1993, with Campbell making his studio debut with the band on 1996's SLANG, a darker edged rock album.

In-between, Def Leppard released one of the most popular Greatest Hits collections of all time VAULT, met with praise by both longtime fans and critics alike. This remarkable collection has remained in the Top 100 of The Billboard Top 200/Top Catalogue Albums chart since its release more than a decade ago. Their platinum certified second Greatest Hits Collection, ROCK OF AGES, was released in 2005 to equal acclaim. Their most recent releases are as diverse as they were unique; 2002's X, a pop experimentation from the usual hard rockers, 2006's YEAH, a covers album that spawned the hit "Rock On" and 2008's SONGS FROM THE SPARKLE LOUNGE, which debuted at #5 on The Billboard 200, with first single "Nine Lives," featuring country superstar Tim McGraw, staying at #1 on the Classic Rock chart for three weeks. In 2011 Def Leppard released their first ever live album Mirror Ball, which notably debuted in the top 20 on Billboard's Top 200 Album chart. The package included a 50- minute DVD with live performances and intimate backstage footage of the band captured on the road.

In addition to their album releases, the band's other accolades include: the distinction of playing on three continents in one day (Tangiers, Morocco, London, England and Vancouver, Canada), receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, having VH1 make a movie about their rise to fame, co-headlining a CMT Special with their #1 fan, Taylor Swift and being among an elite few (along with the likes of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and The Eagles) to have received two Diamond awards for sales in excess of a staggering ten million units.
