Bismarck Planning and Zoning Commission to hold public hearings


Notice is hereby given that the Bismarck Planning & Zoning Commission will hold public hearings on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. in the Tom Baker Meeting Room, City-County Building, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota, to consider the following items:

• Request of Larry, Connie and Joseph Kassian for approval of a major subdivision final plat for Kassian Subdivision, a two-lot subdivision on 4.00 acres.  The property is located South of Bismarck, west of South Washington Street along the north side of 48th Avenue SW (part of the SE¼ of Section 20, T138N-R79W/Lincoln Township).

• Request of the City of Bismarck for approval of a zoning change from the Conditional-CG-Commercial zoning district to the CG-Commercial zoning district for Lot C of Lot 1, Block 1, Prairie Hills 3rd Addition.  The property is owned by DLAH Properties, LLC and is located in west-central Bismarck, south of Interstate 94, north of West Divide Avenue, in the southeast quadrant of the intersection of West Turnpike Avenue and West Capitol Avenue.

• Request of Margo Landers for approval of a special use permit to increase the area of allowable accessory buildings on the property to 3,180 square feet by constructing a 1,500 square-foot accessory building to be located on Lot 3, Block 3, Hay Creek Pines Subdivision.  The property is located north of Bismarck, west of 26th Street NE and south of 97th Avenue NE, along the east side of Oak Drive.

• Request of the City of Bismarck for approval of updates to the Future Land Use Plan.  The proposed updates would amend the Future Land Use Plan to reflect existing conditions, clarify classification inconsistencies and revise the alignment of parkways.

At these hearings, the Bismarck Planning & Zoning Commission will provide an opportunity for all interested persons to be heard with respect to these items.  Interested persons may also submit written comments regarding these requests prior to the meeting to the Community Development Department, PO Box 5503, Bismarck, North Dakota 58506-5503, fax: 701-222-6450, or E-mail.  Interested persons may also call 701-355-1840 with questions or for additional information. 

Descriptions of these requests are on file and may be viewed or copied any working day between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Bismarck Community Development Department, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota.
