2019 Fire Safety Poster Contest

"Not Every Hero Wears a Cape, Plan and Practice Your Escape!"

The theme for Fire Prevention Week, October 6-12, 2019.  This year's campaign recognizes the everyday people who motivate their households to develop and practice a home fire escape plan; these seemingly basic behaviors can have life-saving impact.

Attention Students and Parents


Would your child like the chance to win a ride to school in a fire truck?

The Bismarck Fire Department sponsors a fire safety poster contest that is open to all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. Posters are to be done on 8 1/2 x 11 paper only. Posters are to be related to this year's fire prevention theme. "Not Every Hero Wears a Cape, Plan and Practice Your Escape!"
 
All posters need to be submitted to Headquarters Fire Station - 1020 E Central Avenue by Friday, October 25th at 4:00 pm.

Please print the following on the back of all posters:

Student's full name, parent or guardian's name, telephone number, teacher's name, school and grade level.

Each grade's first place winner will be notified by the end of the day on Wednesday, October 30th. First place winners will receive a ride to their school in a fire truck.  Any questions please contact the Bismarck Fire Department at (701) 355-1400.
