Free Firewood at Bismarck Landfill

It’s that time of year to stock up on firewood and save on your electric bill before winter comes.  The Bismarck Landfill is offering Firewood for Free, while supplies last.  Firewood will need to be cut and loaded by the customer.  There are two locations designated at the landfill for free firewood. Bring your friends, bring your trailer, and all your equipment and have a firewood good time.  Just stop by the scale and they will direct you.

 Hauling Restrictions to the Landfill (PDF)

  • All loads taken to the Bismarck Landfill must be tarped or tied down.
  • $25.00 fee for unsecured loads.

Landfill Charge Account Online Application Form 

  • $10.00 set up fee (billed on the first invoice).
  • $5.00 minimum monthly charge. Landfill charge accounts will be billed a minimum monthly fee of $5.00 if total charges are less than $5.00 during the billing cycle.  No monthly bill will be generated for accounts with no charges during billing cycle.
  • Billing Cycle: 20th of the month to the 19th of the following month .
  • Do Not pay individual landfill tickets. Pay from monthly invoice/statement.
