Homeowners and businesses are reminded NOT to rake or blow leaves or grass into the street. Grass clippings plug our storm water system; please keep grass clippings out of the gutter line and street. Landscaping materials such as rock, sand, or fill dirt, should not be placed in the gutter line, even on a temporary basis. This material can cause the gutter line and storm drains to become plugged and pollute our storm water system causing water to back up in streets and driveways.

“Adopt An Inlet”. Citizens of Bismarck are encouraged to participate in the “Adopt An Inlet” program. By keeping storm drains near your home clear and free of debris, storm drains can drain properly and aide in rain water draining from city streets resulting in less standing water on your street.
