Due to the excessive amount of moisture received, Bismarck Utility Operations wants residents to know that sump pump discharges may now be temporarily directed to the sanitary sewer system due to the wet fall/winter season and soon to be freezing temperatures.

Public Works has received a lot of phone calls from citizens asking if it would be possible to allow the discharges to go into the sanitary sewer.

Residents of Bismarck are reminded that this will be allowed only temporarily during the winter months.
