Notice is hereby given that the Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold a public meeting Monday December 14, 2015 at 10:00 am regarding proposed amendments to the Bismarck-Mandan MPO 2016-2019 TIP. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled meeting of the Bismarck-Mandan MPO Technical Advisory Committee in the Bis-Man Transit facility training room at 3750 East Rosser Avenue, Bismarck, ND.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for public involvement in the review of proposed amendments to the projects for the 2016-2019 TIP. The proposed amendments include changes to projects currently listed within the TIP as well as the addition of three new projects. The TIP includes federally funded metropolitan area transportation projects over a four year time frame.
Furthermore the public is notified that the proposed amendments will be available for citizens to review at the Bismarck-Mandan MPO office located within the Bismarck Community Development Department, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota. Following the consideration period of citizen’s comments, the proposed amendments will be presented to the MPO Policy Board for possible adoption as part of the 2016-2019 TIP. That possible adoption would be contingent upon no substantive project change resulting from public comments.
The public is invited to attend the public meeting, or submit written comments directed to Will Hutchings of the MPO no later than noon Friday, December 11, 2015 to P.O. Comments which are faxed or e-mailed should be specifically identified as public input on the proposed changes to the 2016-2019 TIP.
