[ARCHIVED] MPO Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Amendment to 2017-2020 TIP

The Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold a public hearing Monday, December 19, 2016, at 10:00 am regarding a proposed amendment to the Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).  The hearing will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled meeting of the Bismarck-Mandan MPO Technical Advisory Committee in the Bis-Man Transit facility training room at 3750 East Rosser Avenue, Bismarck, ND.

The purpose of the hearing is to provide an opportunity for public involvement in the review of a proposed amendment to the projects for the 2017-2020 TIP.  The TIP includes federally funded metropolitan area transportation projects over a four year time frame.  The proposed amendment is to add turn lanes for southbound to westbound traffic for Exit 161 (Bismarck Expressway / Centennial Road Interchange) onto I-94.

Following the consideration period of citizen's comments, the proposed amendment will be presented to the MPO Policy Board for possible adoption as part of the 2017-2020 TIP.
