At approximately 9:57 AM on Thursday, June 10, the Central Dakota Communications Center received a report of a fire at a mobile home on the 700 block of South 12th St. The Bismarck Fire Department was dispatched to respond. The first arriving fire crew arrived to find light smoke showing from the home, and the occupants were all outside.
The fire crew established command, deployed a hose line, and went in to attack the fire. The fire was found in the bathroom of the home, and was quickly extinguished. Additional fire crews arrived on scene to provide support. When the fire was extinguished an overhaul operation was conducted to find any remaining smoldering materials.
Six fire department apparatus and 14 fire fighters were dispatched to the scene. The Bismarck Police Department assisted with scene control. Metro Area Ambulance was on scene to provide medical support. Crisis Care Chaplaincy was contacted to provide support for the family. There were no injuries to the occupants or first responders. The home was occupied at the time of the fire. Fire spread and damage was limited to bathroom of the home, and involved a wall and cabinets. The occupants of the home were not displaced by the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
