Notice is hereby given that the Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold a public hearing on Monday March 14, 2022 at 10am regarding proposed amendments to the Bismarck-Mandan 2022-2025 TIP. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled meeting of the Bismarck-Mandan MPO Technical Advisory Committee in the Tom Baker Meeting Room of the City/County Office Building at 221 N. 5th Street, Bismarck, ND.
The purpose of the public hearing is to provide an opportunity for public involvement in the review of proposed amendments to the 2022-2025 TIP. The TIP includes federally funded metropolitan area transportation projects over a four-year time frame. The proposed amendments are to move a project on Memorial Bridge from funding year 2022 to 2024, to update the cost estimates for Phase III of the Mandan Memorial Highway reconstruction project, and to update the cost estimates for an I-94 bridge project, formerly listed in the TIP as two separate projects that will now be combined. Following the consideration period of citizen’s comments, the proposed amendments will be presented to the MPO Policy Board for possible adoption as part of the 2022-2025 TIP, contingent upon no substantive change required due to public comments.
The public is invited to attend the public hearing, or submit written comments directed to Stephen Larson of the MPO no later than 9am Monday, March 14, 2022 to P.O. Box 5503, Bismarck, ND, 58506.
