Watershed Masterplanning
The City of Bismarck develops and adopts watershed stormwater master plans to help identify stormwater issues, make recommendations to address these issues, and develop capital improvement projects. These plans guide our approach to managing storm runoff, encompassing planning, structure, and regulatory compliance. Masterplans and other supporting documents for watersheds are listed below.
Tyler Coulee is located in NW Bismarck and represents approximately 1,900 acres draining stormwater from Pioneer Park at River Road and Burnt Boat Road to west of Washington St and north of Ash Coulee Dr. See links below for previous and current masterplan documents and Board actions and presentations.

The Silver Ranch Watershed is located in NE Bismarck and represents approximately 4,100 acres draining stormwater from 57th Ave east of 52nd Street, south to Apple Creek.
The US83/ND1804 Watershed is located in north Bismarck and represents approximately 1,900 acres north of 57th Ave, generally between Washington St. and US Highway 83.

The Ash-Ward Coulee Watershed is located in NW Bismarck and represents six main coulees draining approximately 2,500 acres west of Clairmont Road and Tyler Parkway, generally south of ND 1804.

The North Washington Street Watershed is located in north Bismarck and represents approximately 1,475 acres west of US Highway 83, generally north of 43rd Ave. up to 57th Ave.

The Mr. B’s Watershed is located in NE Bismarck and represents approximately 300 acres extending from Hay Creek north of Divide Ave. northeast to Roosevelt Drive south of Calgary Ave.
