Posted on: December 3, 2011[ARCHIVED] Corps Expects to End Calendar Year with Majority of Summer's Floodwaters Evacuated
At the height of the Flood of 2011, 16 million acre feet of flood water was stored in the Missouri River Mainstem system. Since storage peaked on July 1, the Corps has evacuated 15.4 million acre feet of floodwater.
