The boa constrictor reported missing earlier this week has been found and captured in the owner’s home.
On Wednesday morning, residents of a home on the 400 block of North 20th Street noticed their eight foot boa constrictor had gotten out of its enclosure sometime overnight.
The residents searched the house, and when they couldn’t find it, they contacted Bismarck Police Animal Control. Due to the extreme conditions of the interior of the house the snake was not found at that time.
Later that night, the resident heard something in her air vent and suspected it was her boa constrictor. Yesterday she called a private contractor who was able to remove the snake from the vent. The boa constrictor was not injured during the recovery.
