[ARCHIVED] Bismarck Airport Controlled Burn

CONTROLLED BURN AT BISMARCK AIRPORT

The Bismarck Airport in conjunction with three local fire departments (Airport, Bismarck City, and Bismarck Rural) will be conducting a controlled burn on Thursday, April 26th at 11:00am. The purpose of the burn is to remove a parcel of overgrown non-native grass on airport property. The controlled burn is expected to last two hours and will be completed around 1:00pm. The burn is weather dependent with the date and time subject to change.

The public will see smoke during the burn and should not be alarmed. Personnel on site will be monitoring weather conditions and the burn to assure smoke is not affecting air traffic or surrounding businesses.  Questions or concerns should be directed to Matthew Remynse with the Bismarck Airport at 701-355-1808.
