[ARCHIVED] City Wide Street Sweeping

The City of Bismarck Street Department will continue to sweep residential streets, weather permitting, as scheduled below. Residents are asked to move vehicles and trailers off of city streets before the sweepers are in their area. It will take approximately two to three days in each area.

Residents may rake sand (not grass or leaves) from their boulevard into the street only if there is no heavy precipitation forecast. We also request that this is not done more than one week in advance of the sweeping schedule. If sweepers have already been in your area please rake your sand into a box and set it out for garbage collection or take it to the landfill.

Sweeping Areas 2, 3, & 4:

Begin Tuesday, April 26th: Area 2: West of Washington Street between Main Avenue and Interstate 94 Start in southwest corner of Area 2 and move north and east.
Begin Thursday, April 28th: Area 3: West of Washington Street between Interstate 94 and North City Limits
Start in southwest corner of Area 3 and move north and east. •Begin Tuesday, May 3rd: Area 4: 9th St to Washington St between the Main Avenue and the South City Limits Start in southwest corner of Area 4 and move north and east.

Sweeping Days & Times:

Monday – Thursday from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm
Fridays from 5:30 am to 4:30 pm

City crews will continue this schedule, weather permitting, until all residential streets are swept.
