[ARCHIVED] BBPH Conducting Community COVID-19 Testing Events on October 26 and 27

COVID-19 Testing Route Map - 7th Street EntryBismarck-Burleigh Public Health (BBPH) will be conducting drive-through COVID-19 testing events at the Bismarck Event Center next week, Monday, October 26, and Tuesday, October 27.

The Monday, October 26, event is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event on Tuesday, October 27, will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Both testing events may end earlier than scheduled times, based on availability of testing supplies. The testing event is open to all ages and is first-come, first-served.

Due to the weather-related cancelation of the North Dakota Department of Health’s regularly scheduled outdoor testing events, this week, BBPH has added an additional testing opportunity at the Bismarck Event Center on Monday, October 26, to meet community demand. The North Dakota Department of Health will be assisting with this testing event, so times have been extended. “With the increase in active cases in our community right now, we need to be sure adequate testing sites are available to the public,” said Renae Moch

Individuals wanting to be tested at either day’s event must enter Parking Lot D, (the lot south of the Bismarck Event Center, across Bowen Avenue) from Seventh Street. Testing will then be conducted inside the Bismarck Event Center. Please complete a preregistration survey that is available online at https://testreg.nd.gov/. By completing the entire questionnaire, you will speed up your overall testing event experience. Pre-registration does not guarantee test availability.

There is no fee for the collection of samples and subsequent COVID-19 tests and an individual’s health insurance will not be processed. Viral testing will be conducted at these drive-through events, but antibody tests are not available through BBPH at this time. Response times for test results may vary, depending on lab capacity. Positive test results will be shared within 24-72 hours, while negative results may take as long as five to seven days. Visit https://www.health.nd.gov/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/symptoms-testing-care/test-results for test result information.

For ongoing response efforts to the COVID-19 pandemic, the North Dakota Department of Health has established a COVID-19 Hotline to help answer your questions. You may call 1-866-207-2880, Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with questions. Please note that individuals seeking specific medical advice should contact their healthcare provider.
