[ARCHIVED] Strategic Planning Process Continues - Citizen Input Sought on Vision

The Bismarck City Commission and City Employees will now move into the next phase of the Strategic Planning process. The City Commission met and has developed a draft Vision Statement for Bismarck. “Citizens and community stakeholders provided us with valuable information and feedback during the first stage of the Strategic Planning input meetings,” said Mayor John Warford. “The next step is to share the Vision of Bismarck that we’ve developed with the community, and receive feedback.”

An input meeting is scheduled with Community Business Stakeholders Tuesday, May 17, 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library, Meeting Room B. The meeting will be co-chaired by Mayor John Warford and Commissioner Josh Askvig and will provide an opportunity for community business stakeholders to take part in strategic conversations.

Citizen input will be sought through the City web site beginning next week. “Citizens will be able to provide their input on-line at www.bismarck.org. Look for information in the City Spotlight or on Facebook”, said Commissioner Josh Askvig. “We had great participation from the community during the first stage of the Strategic Planning process. We look forward to continued input from citizens about the Vision that’s been developed for Bismarck. We want to hear from you. Your input is important.”
