The Bismarck Fire Department is pleased to welcome three new firefighters to shift duty following their successful completion of the New Recruit Fire Academy. Miles Mainey, Taylor Schwede, and Clay Roberts have each earned their Firefighter 1 certifications, meeting the foundational requirements for entry-level emergency response.

This academy session was also a joint effort with the Mandan Fire Department, which sent new firefighters Hunter Beckert and Matthew Pazanin to train alongside the Bismarck recruits. The collaboration between departments strengthens and promotes consistency in training across jurisdictions. We congratulate Hunter and Matthew on completing the program and thank the Mandan Fire Department for their continued partnership.
All new fire fighters gained essential knowledge and skills in the academy and will be great additions to the Bismarck and Mandan Fire Departments.
