There is NO mandatory evacuation in the Southport and Harbor Drive areas today.
Based on current observed conditions, the voluntary evacuation order for that area remains in effect through 8:00 am on Sunday, June 5th. An update on the evacuation order will be issued at 8:00 am tomorrow.
Earlier today, the city commission had authorized the Police Chief to issue a mandatory evacuation order to this area effective, if needed, as of 10:00 pm today. BUT, the mandatory evacuation has been delayed.
