Annie Hojian joined the City of Bismarck in July 2024 as an Office Assistant II. In her role, she supports the daily administrative operations of the Building Inspections and Planning Departments and serves as a key point of contact for the public. Her work plays a vital role in delivering the high level of customer service these departments strive to provide.

“Annie has a positive attitude and makes customer service her top priority,” said Building Inspections Director Brady Blaskowski. “Her joyful and fun personality creates a terrific work environment and provides the public with a great customer experience.”

Annie assists the public in person at the front counter, over the phone, and through email. She processes permits, schedules inspections, and helps guide residents through the land development and permitting process by answering general inquiries with clarity and care.

Colleagues describe Annie as someone who consistently arrives early, ready to assist both the public and her teammates. She eagerly takes on new challenges, embraces learning opportunities and is widely regarded as a go-to resource within the office.

Annie’s upbeat attitude and commitment to service make her an invaluable part of the team. Her enthusiasm and approachable nature contribute to a positive and welcoming environment for all.

City Star of the Month is an initiative launched by City of Bismarck staff. The program rotates through city departments, highlighting an employee who demonstrates dedication to public service and exemplary performance. Honorees are nominated by their department director or supervisor based on their merit and contributions in their role.
