Amanda joined the City of Bismarck in 2013 when she was hired as the Marketing & Sales Manager and has served in that role, as well as taking on additional duties as Acting Event Center Director in April 2024. Her responsibilities include leading a team of 25+ full-time staff and hundreds of part-time employees and managing day-to-day operations in addition to future-looking event booking and entertainment attraction.
During her time as Acting Event Center Director, Amanda and her team helped to bring in the largest grossing concert (Zach Top) for the Bismarck Event Center in November 2025.
"Throughout the past 27 months during Amanda’s tenure as the Acting Event Center Director she has continued to lead by example, held the Event Center team together, and continued to smile through the transition to a third party management company," said Bismarck City Administrator Jason Tomanek.
Forever smiling and bringing a positive attitude, Amanda dedicates her time to the ever-changing demands of the entertainment business and the demanding schedule it requires.
City Star of the Month is an initiative launched by City of Bismarck staff. The program rotates through city departments, highlighting an employee who demonstrates dedication to public service and exemplary performance. Honorees are nominated by their department director or supervisor based on their merit and contributions in their role.
