[ARCHIVED] Public Invited to Share Input on Draft Public Transportation Plan Recommendations

The public is invited to attend drop-in sessions, learn about transportation alternatives, review highlights of draft recommendations and provide input on Mobility 2017, the Transit Development Plan being developed for the Bismarck-Mandan area. The Plan provides a roadmap for transit service and investments over the next five years.

The effort is being managed by the Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and Capital Area Transit/Bis-Man Transit. The consulting team, Nelson\Nygaard Associates, has developed a set of service alternatives and recommendations for changes to fixed-route service operated by CAT and for Bis-Man Transit. Recommendations include straighter bus routes that operate in two directions, more frequent service, a new central bus terminal, and new para transit eligibility.
