[ARCHIVED] Join Forrest Von Flickentale at a Special Family Event March 1

Come and join Forrest Von Flickentale, Bismarck Forestry Division’s mascot, for a special reading of the Dr. Seuss children’s book, The Lorax, at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library located at 515 N Fifth Street. The reading will begin at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, March 1.

The Lorax, is a Dr. Seuss fable and beloved environmental classic about a forest that abounds with trees until it is descended upon and the forest and trees are felled for industrial uses. Lorax “speaks for the trees”. Unless someone like you...cares a whole awful lot...nothing is going to get better...It's not.

Forrest Von Flickentale, forestry’s mascot, will be present and will hand out certificates to all the children in attendance that are redeemable for a free tree to be picked up at the Bismarck Public Works building, 601 S 26th Street during Arbor Week, April 30 – May 4, 2012. The Certificate must be presented to receive a free tree.
