The City of Bismarck is in the process of identifying requirements for a system to replace its
existing water meter reading system. Vendors of automated meter reading (AMR), advanced metering
infrastructure (AMI), and meter data management system (MDMS) technologies are invited to provide
information on their products to the City. Vendors may schedule a time to make a presentation to
City staff to explain the features and functionality of their systems. The City will consider all
information obtained in developing a Request For Proposals for the purchase of a replacement
system. Participation in this process does not assure that a vendor’s product will meet the City’s
requirements when proposals are solicited and lack of participation in this process does not mean
that a vendor’s product will not be considered. The City is limiting presentations to the period of
September 10 through September 14. For more information or to schedule a time to make a
presentation to City staff, vendors should contact the Bismarck Public Works Department at
701-355-1700 by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012.
