On Friday, August 31, all southbound lanes on State Street from the I-94 Interchange up to Calgary Avenue will be open to traffic over the Labor Day weekend. Work will resume in the southbound inside (left) lane beginning Tuesday, September 4. Currently the inside (left) lane in the northbound roadway is currently closed and a 24-foot width restriction will remain in place over the holiday weekend.

All work on the project is now operating during nighttime hours to ease the impacts to traffic. Motorists are encouraged to reduce speeds and use caution when traveling through the work zone. The project is expected to be complete by late September.
