The City of Bismarck invites the public to comment for the next 15 days on its annual Grantee Performance Report. This report evaluates the City’s administration of its 2011 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. CDBG funds must be spent for activities that primarily benefit low income persons, alleviate slum & blight conditions, or address urgent conditions. Activities implemented in 2011 include: development or renovation of special needs housing, accessibility improvements (housing, parks, & sidewalks), rehabilitation of public facilities (e.g., serving youth & persons who are homeless or disabled), and services for the elderly, at-risk children, or people who are homeless or in danger of homelessness. The report also evaluates the City’s progress in implementing the second year of its 5 year Consolidated Plan which serves as the City’s overall strategy for using HUD funds.

The report is available for viewing during normal business hours in the Community Development Office. Written comments will be accepted until 9 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2012.The City will review and include all comments in the Performance Report which will be sent to HUD.
