[ARCHIVED] BBPH Walk-in Flu Vaccination Clinics Begin Oct. 10

Bismarck Burleigh Public Health (BBPH) will hold walk-in flu vaccination clinics starting Wednesday Oct. 10, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and on select dates throughout the months of October and November. Additional walk-in clinic dates can be found at www.bismarck.org/publichealth

Flu season usually begins in October and can last through May. The Centers for Disease Control recommends that everyone 6 months and older get a flu vaccine each year, especially people at high-risk for complications. Getting a flu vaccine is the first and most important step in protecting against this serious disease.

“Bismarck Burleigh Public Health (BBPH) is prepared to kick-off prevention efforts to control the influenza virus,” said Vonnie Ereth, BBPH Wellness Supervisor. “We have both the injectable vaccine and nasal Flu Mist. Get vaccinated now before flu season starts. Protect yourself, Protect your family.”

Flu vaccination clinics are walk-in only, no appointments are necessary. The cost for the Flu shot is $30.00, $35.00 for Flu Mist, and $40.00 for the high dose Flu shot. Please remember to bring your insurance cards and ID forms to the walk-in flu vaccination clinics. Bismarck Burleigh Public Health is able to bill Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicaid, and Medicare part B. BBPH is unable to bill Medicare Advantage Plans. Not all insurance companies cover the cost of the flu shot. Check with your insurance company if you have questions about coverage.
