A final meeting for the purpose of reviewing the Burleigh County draft Digital Flood Insurance Rate (DFIRM) Map, will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2012, 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. Central Standard Time,
in the lower level conference room, of the ND State Water Commission, 900 East Boulevard Avenue, Bismarck, N.D.
Revisions to the map include:Apple Creek – I94 to mouth (39 miles, detailed study)
Burnt Creek – 3 miles upstream of Hwy 83 (3 miles, limited detail study) & Hwy 83 to Hwy 1804 (10.5 miles, detailed study)Jackman Coulee – Bowen Avenue to Assumption Drive (1.5 miles, limited detail)
Grand Prairie – three tributaries from Centennial Road to Hay Creek (4 miles, limited detail)Landfill Watershed" - I94 to Apple Creek (5.6 miles, detailed)
North 4th St. Watershed – Hwy 83 to Astronaut Drive and Montreal Street (2 miles, limited detail)North Washington Street – Hay Creek to 57th Ave NE (3 miles, limited detail)
The format of the meeting will consist of a presentation by Houston Engineering, information from FEMA, followed by an opportunity for a question and answer period, map viewing and comments.
The public is welcome to attend.
