A retirement ceremony was held today to honor Interim Chief Fred Wooten for 29 years of service with the Bismarck Police Department. City officials, friends, family, law enforcement and co-workers were present to honor him.

During the retirement ceremony the N.D. Highway Patrol presented Chief Wooten with the Colonel’s Award for Excellence as a token of the Colonel’s appreciation for his commitment and service.
