[ARCHIVED] Bismarck's Spring Cleanup Week April 29 - May 4

Bismarck’s spring clean-up week is April 29 – May 4. Residents must place items for special pick-up at their point of collection by 8:00 am on their regular scheduled garbage day. Landfill charges will apply when disposing of items at the landfill.

During clean-up week, city crews will pick up items not ordinarily collected on the route such as furniture items, appliances, and tires. A separate truck will pick up the special items set out for collection. Tree branches and wood material must be cut in 4-foot lengths and tied in bundles. All loose materials must be boxed or bagged or tied in bundles. It is illegal to remove any refuse set out for collection.

Items NOT collected on the route. The following items may be taken to the Household Hazardous Waste & Electronic Recycling Center located at the landfill. There is no charge for Bismarck residents to dispose of household hazardous waste and electronics when delivering them to the Household Hazardous Waste & Electronic Recycling Center during operating hours.

Apartment Complexes: City crews will not pick up appliances from apartment complexes. Items may be taken to the landfill. Landfill charges will apply.
