Residents of Bismarck, the City of Lincoln and customers of the South Central Regional Water District served by the City of Bismarck are asked to continue to refrain from using water for anything but essential purposes until further notice.
The treatment problems at the Bismarck water plant have been corrected, but the plant’s capacity is still limited. Water reservoir levels are currently increasing but are below their normal levels. The requested reductions in water use will assist in getting the reservoirs refilled. With the forecast for higher temperatures later this week it is important for the City system to have an ample supply of water in its storage reservoirs.
The public will be notified when normal operations are restored.
With the recent rain events watering of lawns and gardens should not be necessary at this time. If you have an irrigation system that is set on an automatic schedule please cancel the scheduled irrigation. This will help greatly in conserving water.
The City would like to thank its customers for their cooperation and patience while this problem is being resolved.
