At approximately 9:30 A.M. this morning, Bismarck Police Officers were attempting to execute a search warrant on a South Bismarck residence. Police Officers heard a dog barking inside the house and communicated to the resident to secure the dog before opening the front door. The resident opened the door while trying to hold the dog. Once the resident opened the door the dog broke free, at which time The officer did use deadly force to stop the attack of the dog.
The dog was injured during the incident and transported to a veterinary clinic by Bismarck Police Department’s Animal Control. At this time the dog is in stable condition.
