The levee removal grade raise project on Riverwood Drive is underway. The first phase will include tree removal on the east side of Riverwood Drive and south of Bismarck Expressway to accommodate the new road alignment that will serve as a flood protection measure and provide ingress and egress for residents of Southport, Whispering Bay, and Fox Island during a flood event as well as flood protection for South Bismarck.

Residents can expect quite a bit of activity this summer as the project progresses. The project is anticipated to be substantially complete by this fall.
