[ARCHIVED] Police Department Seeking Volunteers at Animal Impound

The Bismarck Police Department is looking for volunteers willing to work at the Bismarck Animal Impound facility. Volunteers for the animal pound/shelter must be at least 18 years old.

Duties:Volunteers for the animal pound:• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be willing to work with the public and answer phones• Will release animals to owners when asked
• Interact with the animals in the kennel to include but not limited to walks, Socializing, feeding, general care• Be willing to clean kennel area and outdoor runs which would include using diluted bleach and/or sanitizers
• Wash food/water dishes and bedding used for the animals• Restock food and litter when needed
• Prefer volunteers who would be able to work at least four hour per week.

Volunteers for maintenance of building/grounds• General cleaning to include but not limited to dusting, and mopping
• Cutting grass • Shoveling of snow
