[ARCHIVED] Police Department Seeking Volunteers at Animal Impound

The Bismarck Police Department is looking for volunteers willing to work at the Bismarck Animal Impound facility. Volunteers for the animal pound/shelter must be at least 18 years old.

Duties:

Volunteers for the animal pound:• Must be at least 18 years old• Must be willing to work with the public and answer phones
• Will release animals to owners when asked• Interact with the animals in the kennel to include but not limited to walks, Socializing, feeding, general care
• Be willing to clean kennel area and outdoor runs which would include using diluted bleach and/or sanitizers• Wash food/water dishes and bedding used for the animals
• Restock food and litter when needed• Prefer volunteers who would be able to work at least four hour per week.

Volunteers for maintenance of building/grounds• General cleaning to include but not limited to dusting, and mopping• Cutting grass
• Shoveling of snow
