The event will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday with a pre-show concert by local artist Shawn Oban. At 9 p.m., the symphony will perform a concert of patriotic tunes and music special to North Dakota. The concert will feature Chuck Suchy, a folk musician, songwriter and working farmer, and the symphony will perform seven of Suchy's songs.

The fireworks show will begin when the concert ends between 10:30 and 11 p.m.
