Applications Sought for the Bismarck Parking Authority
Bismarck Mayor John Warford is looking for candidates interested in serving on the Bismarck Parking Authority. The volunteer committee has one open position. Anyone owning property within the downtown parking district within the City of Bismarck is eligible for appointment.
Interested applicants should complete an application form describing their qualifications, background and why they would like to serve on the Board. Complete applications should be sent to:

The deadline for applications is Friday, August 2, 2013. It is expected that the new board member will be announced at the August 13, 2013, Board of City Commissioners’ meeting.
The Bismarck Parking Authority is a five member board appointed by the Bismarck City Commission. The mission of the Bismarck Parking Authority is to provide convenient reasonably priced parking to the residents, clients, customers, merchants, and employees of the Downtown Parking District.
The Parking Authority currently manages three ramps and one surface lot. The total number of spaces under management is approximately 1,225. In addition, the Parking Authority administers all aspects of the Park Smart program. The Park Smart program was designed to help businesses attract customers by validating customer parking with printed coupons at a reduced rate.
The Bismarck Parking Authority meets the second Thursday of every month at 9:00 AM in the City-County Office Building, 221 N 5th Street, Bismarck.
