Bismarck Curbside Recycling Program to Begin Spring 2014
BISMARCK, N.D. – The City of Bismarck will kick-off residential, single-sort curbside recycling program in the Spring of 2014. The program was expected to begin this fall but due to contract negotiations with Waste Management and the time it will take to acquire recycling trucks, recycling containers, and related recycling operations staff and materials, the program is scheduled to start in the spring.
The new curbside recycling program includes single-family residential homes, twin homes and duplexes. Recyclables are combined into one single-sort container, no separation is needed. The 2014 recycling rate to customers will be $3.81 per residential unit per month. Additional recycling information will be mailed to all residents in the months prior to the kickoff of the curbside recycling program.
