[ARCHIVED] Starting at 2:00 pm, Monday, July 26th, River Road will be closed from Meriwether’s to Burnt Boat Dr

Starting at 2:00 pm, Monday, July 26th, River Road will be closed from Meriwether’s to Burnt Boat Drive. The area between the Water Treatment Plant and Meriwether’s will be open to through traffic however speed limits are reduced and No Trucks will be allowed at this time.

The City of Bismarck Street Department will continue the paving and striping operation on this stretch of roadway through Wednesday, July 28th, weather permitting. Please listen for future updates about the River Road closure.

Tentative Schedule:Tuesday, July 27th, in the morning, River Road will be closed from Burnt Boat Drive to Meriwether’s. Once this area is paved it will be open to through traffic however speed limits will be reduced and No Trucks will be allowed.

Tuesday, July 27th, afternoon, River Road will be closed from Meriwether’s to the Water Treatment Plant.

Wednesday, July 28th – the striping operation will begin on River Road and there will be flaggers. Motorist should expect some delays. River Road will be open to through traffic however speed limits will be reduced and No Trucks will be allowed.

Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route until the paving and striping operation is complete. Weather permitting; the paving & striping operation will be finished by Wednesday, July 28th
