Bismarck Fire Department responds to residential fire; family was displaced.
Around 5:15 PM on Monday, December 23, 2013 there was a 911 call stating smoke in the attic of the residence. The incident was reported by the main floor tenants at 926 N 12th St.
First responding officer gave an initial report of smoke showing with no fire. He established Command, confirmed all occupants were evacuated then assigned his crew to fire suppression and investigation.
Fire was considered extinguished at 5:36 PM. Three fire crews responded with 10 firefighters.
There were no injuries to occupants and none to firefighters. Preliminary damage estimates are $8,000 structural and $2,500 content.
Area of origin for the fire was in the attic space above the dining room. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
