At 6:59 PM on Thursday, December 26, the Bismarck Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in a strip mall at 200 W Front Ave.

The first arriving officer gave an initial report of smoke showing, established Command and forced entry into the building to find the location of the fire. Fire crews made an aggressive attack and the fire was confined to one unit on the west end of the building. The fire was declared under control at 7:22 PM.

There was moderate fire damage in the unit where the fire originated and light smoke damage reported in two adjoining units. The damage is estimated at approximately $30,000 dollars.

The cause of this fire is under investigation.
