[ARCHIVED] It’s Not Too Late! Get Your Flu Immunization

Bismarck-Burleigh Public Health (BBPH) is holding flu vaccination clinics Dec. 3, 4, and 5th, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. All clinics are by-appointment only. Please be sure to bring your insurance card with you at the time of service.

The Centers for Disease Control recommends that everyone 6 months and older get a flu vaccine each year, especially people at high-risk for complications. Getting a flu vaccine is the first and most important step in protecting against this serious disease.

BBPH has both injectable vaccine and nasal Flu Mist. Get vaccinated now! Protect yourself and your loved ones from the flu during the holiday season. Even if you don’t feel the need to be vaccinated to protect yourself, everyone is close to someone who is at high risk for complications due to influenza, so you still should be vaccinated to protect them. Health officials say that people can get vaccinated any time during the influenza season, but the best time to get vaccinated is now, when flu activity is low.

The cost for the Adult Flu shot is $35.00, Child Flu Shot $20.00 - Ages birth—18 years, state supplied vaccine is used; $40.00 for Flu Mist, and $45.00 for the high dose Flu shot - Age 65 and over . Please remember to bring your insurance card and ID form to the flu vaccination clinic. BBPH is able to accept the following insurance plans: Medicare Part B, Railroad Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medica, Sanford, Sanford Expansion, and Tricare. Check with your insurance company if you have questions about coverage.
