[ARCHIVED] MPO Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Amendments to 2015-2018 TIP

Notice is hereby given that the Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold a public meeting on Monday March 16, 2015 at 10am regarding an amendment to the Bismarck-Mandan 2015-2018 TIP. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled meeting of the Bismarck-Mandan MPO Technical Advisory Committee located at the Bis-Man Transit facility training room at 3750 East Rosser Avenue, Bismarck, ND.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for public involvement in the review of the proposed amendment to the projects for the 2015-2018 TIP. The proposed amendment includes the installation of curb ramps for the City of Mandan on Main Street from 10th Avenue NW to Collins Avenue. The TIP includes federally funded metropolitan area transportation projects over a four year time frame.

Furthermore the public is notified that the proposed amendment will be available for citizens to review at the Bismarck Community Development Office, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota or by clicking the link below. During the consideration period of citizen’s comments, the proposed amendment will be presented to the MPO Policy Board for possible adoption as part of the 2015-2018 TIP. That possible adoption would be contingent upon no substantive project change resulting from public comments.

The public is invited to attend the public meeting, or submit written comments directed to Rachel Drewlow of the MPO no later than 4pm Friday March 13, 2015 to P.O. Box 5503, Bismarck, ND, 58506. Written comments may also be faxed to (701) 222-6450 or Emailed. Comments which are faxed or e-mailed should be specifically identified as public input on the proposed change to the 2015-2018 TIP. The MPO’s public participation process is being followed within this notice. The public meeting facility is accessible to mobility impaired individuals.
