The first arriving officer gave an initial report of fire coming from the deck above the garage. Fire crews pulled hand lines and extinguished the fire on the deck above the garage while other crews made their way into the house to extinguish fire on the upper level of the house. Fire from the deck extended into a bedroom and burned the roof off the house in this area.
