Local director Amanda Perry will introduce youth to theatre techniques in 2 separate workshops held on Saturday, September 26.

For children in grades 1-3, Amanda is offering "Acting ABC’s: Introduction to Acting." In this workshop, Amanda will teach students the basics of storytelling, improvisation, movement and vocal techniques, and memorization. This workshop will take place from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the Children's Library Story Room.

For youth in Grades 4-9, Amanda is offering "Creative Dramatics: Acting Level I." This workshop will teach students to learn how to use their bodies and voices on stage, learn how to use space, add emotion and movement to monologues, and learn basic theatre terminology and history. This workshop will take place from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in the Children's Library Story Room.
