The Downtowners Association 42nd Annual Street Fair is scheduled for September 18 and
19. Street Fair brings together over 180 artists, crafters, and food vendors from across the regionto Downtown Bismarck for the two day fair, including kid’s art activity The Monster Mural and
inflatable games. Returning to the 2015 Downtowners Street Fair is the “Busker’s Corner” near4th Street & Broadway, where local musicians will be busking or street performing during the
show. Patrons are asked to support the buskers and toss a tip into the hat.
Hours for Street Fair are Friday 10 am-8 pm and Saturday 9 am-6 pm. This year’s show is completely full in all closed off areas, including new vendors and returning veterans to the StreetFair.
Street Fair began as Downtown “Customer Appreciation Days” in 1973. Later the organizers of
Folkfest coordinated with the Downtowners to move their Folkfest event to the Street Fairweekend. This event is a fundraiser for the Downtowners’ non-profit 501c6 organization that
promotes revitalization in the downtown area. Street Fair also serves as a fundraiser for anumber of different local non-profits and service organizations in the Bismarck-Mandan area
through vendor booths.
Streets that will be closed are Broadway Ave from 3rd Street to 6th Street, 4th Street from Main Ave. to Thayer Ave., and 5th Street from Main Ave to Thayer Ave.
Parking for Street Fair patrons is available in city owned parking ramps for $1 per hour or amaximum of $6 for an entire day. For more information on the city ramps visitwww.bismarckparkingauthority.com.
