[ARCHIVED] MPO Seeks Public Involvement in Preparation of Amendments to the Draft 2016-2019 TIP

The meeting will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled meeting of the Bismarck-Mandan MPO Technical Advisory Committee located at the Bis-Man Transit facility training room at 3750 East Rosser Avenue, Bismarck, ND.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for public involvement in the review of the proposed amendments to the projects for the Draft 2016-2019 TIP. The TIP includes federally funded metropolitan area transportation projects over a four year time frame. The proposed amendments, if approved, will alter the projects lists contained in the Draft 2016-2019 TIP. The Bismarck-Mandan MPO is currently accepting public comment on the Draft 2016-2019 TIP through October 18, 2015, after which time the Draft 2016-2019 TIP will be presented to the MPO Policy Board for possible adoption.

The proposed amendments to the Draft 2016-2019 TIP will be available for citizens to review at the Bismarck Community Development Department office, 221 N. 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota, beginning Monday, October 5, 2015, or available immediately by clicking on the link below.

During the consideration period of citizen’s comments, the proposed amendments will be presented to the MPO Policy Board for possible adoption, contingent upon no substantive project change due to public comments, as part of the Draft 2016-2019 TIP.

The public is invited to attend the public meeting, or submit written comments directed to Rachel Drewlow of the MPO no later than 5pm Sunday October 18, 2015 to P.O. Box 5503, Bismarck, ND, 58506. Written comments may also be faxed to (701) 222-6450 or can be sent via Email.. Comments which are faxed or e-mailed should be specifically identified as public input on the proposed change to the Draft 2016-2019 TIP. The MPO’s public participation process is being followed within this notice. The public meeting facility is accessible to mobility impaired individuals.
