Bismarck Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a homicide suspect. He is Kirk Kwasniewski, 35 years old, white male, 5’9, 178 pounds, brown hair, goatee and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. He may be driving a flat black 2004 Dodge Neon with ND plates KRK 625. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone seeing him or with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
This morning at 1:09 am, a Bismarck woman living on the 600 block of North 22nd Street, called police to report the suspect was in her home threatening her with a gun. She found her boyfriend, a 30 year old Bismarck man, dead in her home. The suspect fled the scene and has not been located.
Bismarck Police as well as officers from the Burleigh County Sheriff Department, and ND Highway Patrol are conducting a search of the surrounding area. Police are urging residents in that neighborhood to stay inside with their doors locked, and asking those not living in the area to stay out as the search for the suspect continues.
Shortly before 2:00 am, a reverse 9-1-1 call was made to residents in the area advising them we are looking for a suspect in a domestic situation, who is possibly armed with a handgun, urging residents to stay inside.
