The time of year for spring load restrictions to be placed on City of Bismarck streets and alleys is quickly approaching. Depending on the weather, spring load restrictions could be put into effect within the next two to three weeks.
Contractors/truckers should consider moving their heavy loads in the very near future before load restrictions are placed on City of Bismarck streets and alleys.
Restrictions will be lifted in the spring after roadbeds have stabilized enough to carry normal loads.
The proposed 2016 load restriction map is currently being developed and will be placed on the City website prior to City of Bismarck load restrictions being put into effect. Spring load restriction information will be available at http://www.bismarcknd.gov/index.aspx?nid=302.
If you have any questions, please contact the City of Bismarck Engineering Department at 355-1505.
Updates will be announced in future news releases as new information becomes available.
The City of Bismarck reserves the right to change or establish additional load restrictions on city streets as deemed necessary.
