World AIDS Day is celebrated on December 1 each year around the world. It has become one of the most recognized international health days and a key opportunity to raise awareness, commemorate those who have passed on, and celebrate victories such as increased access to treatment and prevention services.
Those at risk for HIV and STDs include anyone who:• is sexually active • does not use or correctly use condoms• has multiple sexual partners• has a new sexual partner• has injected drugs
Bismarck Burleigh Public Health will be offering Free Rapid HIV and STD testing from1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at 500 East Front Ave., Bismarck. No appointment is necessary. HIV results will be available within 20 minutes. STD testing results and treatment options will be available in 24 hours. In North Dakota, confidential HIV testing is conducted. Confidentiality is an agreement that information about you will not be disclosed without your consent.
